Test D: A Single Illumination Source Is Inoperative

PINPOINT TEST D: A SINGLE ILLUMINATION SOURCE IS INOPERATIVE

Normal Operation
For dimmable backlighting, a variable pulse-width modulated (PWM) voltage is supplied to the illumination source(s) through circuit 19 (LB/RD).

For non-dimmable backlighting, with the ignition switch in the START or RUN position, voltage is supplied to the illumination sources from the accessory delay relay through circuit 54 (LG/YE).

Ground is supplied to the illumination source(s) through circuits 57 (BK) and 875 (BK/LB) for the adjustable pedal switch.

This pinpoint test is intended to diagnose the following:
- Wiring, terminals or connectors
- Headlamp switch
- Message center switch
- Parking aid switch
- Adjustable pedal switch
- Audio control module (ACM)
- Four wheel drive (4WD) switch
- Floor shifter
- Rear entertainment module (RETM)
- Roof opening panel control switch
- Door lock control switch(es)
- Traction control switch
