PINPOINT TEST W: THE TRACTION CONTROL INDICATOR IS NEVER/ALWAYS ONNormal Operation
The traction control indicator informs the driver that a traction control event is taking place, by flashing the indicator. It is also used to indicate a malfunction in the traction control system, or if the traction control has been disabled by the operator, by illuminating the indicator constantly (not flashing). The instrument cluster (IC) receives the traction control status from the ABS module over the communication network.
This pinpoint test is intended to diagnose the following:
- ABS module
- Instrument cluster (IC)
