Test D: The Headlamps On Warning Chime Does Not Operate Correctly

PINPOINT TEST D: THE HEADLAMPS ON WARNING CHIME DOES NOT OPERATE CORRECTLY

Normal Operation
The headlamps on warning chime sounds when the driver door is opened, the ignition lock cylinder is in the OFF position, the key is out, and the instrument cluster (IC) receives a headlamps/parking lamps on signal from the headlamp switch through circuit 257 (WH/RD). The headlamps on warning chime operates only when autolamp is not selected.

This pinpoint test is intended to diagnose the following:
- Wiring, terminals or connectors
- Headlamp switch
- Instrument cluster (IC)
