Test U: The Fog Lamps Are On Continuously

PINPOINT TEST U: THE FOG LAMPS ARE ON CONTINUOUSLY

Normal Operation
The fog lamps receive voltage from the fog lamp relay (when energized) through circuit 478 (TN/OG). The fog lamp switch (integral to the headlamp switch) is supplied voltage through circuit 195 (TN/WH). When the fog lamp switch is engaged, voltage is routed to the fog lamp relay coil through circuit 188 (WH/BK). The fog lamp relay coil is grounded through the high beam circuit.

When the fog lamp relay is energized, the relay routes voltage from the central junction box (CJB) fuse 17 (15A) to circuit 478 (TN/OG) which supplies voltage to the fog lamps.

This pinpoint test is intended to diagnose the following:
- Wiring, terminals or connectors
- Fog lamp relay
- Headlamp switch
- CJB
