Test P: The Hazard Lamps Are Inoperative

PINPOINT TEST P: THE HAZARD LAMPS ARE INOPERATIVE

Normal Operation
The indicator flasher relay receives battery voltage through circuit 10 (LG/RD). The indicator flasher provides voltage to the multifunction switch through circuit 385 (WH/RD). Circuit 57 (BK) provides ground for the indicator flasher.

When the hazard switch is engaged, the multifunction switch routes voltage to all the turn lamps. The timed on/off cycle is determined in the indicator flasher relay and is set to flash approximately 80 times per minute when the hazard switch is turned on.

This pinpoint test is intended to diagnose the following:
- Wiring, terminals or connectors
- Indicator flasher relay
- Multifunction switch
