Test C: A Single Power Window Is Inoperative - Passenger Front Window
PINPOINT TEST C: A SINGLE POWER WINDOW IS INOPERATIVE - PASSENGER FRONT WINDOWNormal Operation
Under normal operation, the passenger front window control switch receives power from the driver window control switch through circuit 400 (LB/BK) for regular cab, or through circuit 193 (YE/LG) for SuperCab and SuperCrew. The passenger front window control switch provides power to the power window motor through circuit 334 (RD/YE) and ground through 333 (YE/RD) to operate the passenger front window upward and power through circuit 333 (YE/RD) and ground through 334 (RD/YE) to operate the passenger front window downward.
When operating the passenger front window using the driver window control switch, power is sent to the passenger front window control switch through circuit 314 (TN/LB) and ground through 313 (WH/YE) to operate the passenger front window upward and power through circuit 313 (WH/YE) and ground through 314 (TN/LB) to operate the passenger front window downward.
This pinpoint test is intended to diagnose the following:
- Wiring, terminals or connectors
- Driver window control switch
- Passenger front window control switch
- Passenger front window motor
