Test A: The Wipers Are Inoperative

PINPOINT TEST A: THE WIPERS ARE INOPERATIVE

Normal Operation
Under normal operation, the front wiper motor receives power through circuit 1671 (RD) and circuit 65 (DG). The front wiper motor is grounded through circuits 875 (BK/LB) and 57 (BK). The front wiper motor receives open and ground inputs from the multi-function switch through circuits 485 (PK/BK), 680 (LB/OG), 1300 (PK) and 1301 (YE) to activate the wipers to the appropriate speeds. The run/park and high/low relays are contained in the wiper motor electronics. Mode of operation is dependent on the signal(s) received from the multi-function switch.

This pinpoint test is intended to diagnose the following:
- Fuse(s)
- Wiring, terminals or connectors
- Inoperative multi-function switch
- Inoperative wiper motor
