Removal

NOTE:
- The power folding mirrors must be synchronized anytime the mirrors are folded or unfolded without using the exterior mirror control switch, or if a new power folding mirror is installed. Refer to Exterior Mirror Motor Synchronization - Power Folding. Programming and Relearning
- Aero mirror shown, trailer tow mirror similar.

1. Position the exterior mirror glass fully upward.
2. Locate the notch at the bottom of the exterior mirror glass.
3. Release the exterior mirror glass.
1 Insert a long flat-blade screwdriver in the notch.
2 Push the screwdriver into the notch until the glass is released.







4. Remove the exterior mirror glass.
- If equipped, disconnect the electrical connectors.

5. If equipped, remove the exterior mirror glass dampener springs.

Installation
1. If equipped, install the exterior mirror glass dampener springs
2. If equipped, connect the electrical connectors.
3. Position the exterior mirror glass on the mirror motor.

4. WARNING: Place a shop towel between the hands and the exterior mirror glass for protection in case of glass breakage during mirror service. Failure to follow this instruction may result in serious personal injury.

Place a hand against the back of the exterior mirror housing and a hand flat against the exterior mirror glass. Press the mirror glass in place until it is fully seated.
