Test G: The Audio Control Module (ACM) Illumination Is Inoperative

PINPOINT TEST G: THE AUDIO CONTROL MODULE (ACM) ILLUMINATION IS INOPERATIVE

Normal Operation
For the base ACM (AM/FM only), the smart junction box (SJB) supplies a pulse-width modulated (PWM) voltage to the ACM illumination on circuit VLN04 (VT/GY) based on input from the instrument panel dimmer switch. Ground is provided by circuit GD115 (BK/GY).

For all ACMs except base (AM/FM), the smart junction box (SJB) sends a message over the controller area network (CAN) to the ACM based on input from the instrument panel dimmer switch.

This pinpoint test is intended to diagnose the following:
- Wiring, terminals or connectors
- ACM
