Test M: One Turn Signal/Hazard Lamp Is Inoperative/Always On
PINPOINT TEST M: ONE TURN SIGNAL/HAZARD LAMP IS INOPERATIVE/ALWAYS ONNormal Operation
When the smart junction box (SJB) detects the multifunction switch in the LH TURN position, the SJB provides on/off voltage through circuit CLS21 (BU/GN) to the LH front turn lamp and circuit CLF06 (BN/GN) to the LH trailer tow exterior mirror (if equipped).
When the SJB detects the multifunction switch in the RH TURN position, the SJB provides on/off voltage through circuit CLS25 (YE/VT) to the RH front turn lamp and circuit CLF07 (GY/OG) to the RH trailer tow exterior mirror (if equipped).
Circuits GD122 (BK) and GD124 (BK/VT) provide ground for the LH and RH front turn lamps, respectively. Circuit GD179 (BK/VT) provides ground for the LH and RH trailer tow exterior mirrors.
The rear turn lamps are controlled utilizing the rear stoplamp circuitry.
This pinpoint test is intended to diagnose the following:
- Wiring, terminals or connectors
- Bulb holder
- Trailer tow exterior mirror (if equipped)
- SJB
