Test G: The Instrument Cluster (IC) 4X4 High and 4X4 Low Indicators Do Not Operate Correctly/Do Not Operate
Pinpoint Test G: The Instrument Cluster (IC) 4X4 High and 4X4 Low Range Indicators Do Not Operate Correctly/Do Not OperateNormal Operation
The 4X4 High and 4X4 Low range indicator status is transmitted to the instrument cluster (IC), which interprets outputs from the 4X4 control module through circuits CCF06 (BU/GN) and CCF22 (BU/OG). A steady indicator is displayed whether the vehicle is in four wheel drive high (4X4 High) or four wheel drive low (4X4 Low), according to the driver selection. Indicators do not flash under any circumstances. When the vehicle is in 4X4 Low, the 4X4 Low range indicator circuits are displayed. When the 4WD system is in 4X4 High, only the 4X4 High indicator circuit is displayed. No indicators are displayed when the transfer case is in two wheel drive high (2WD) or NEUTRAL mode.
This pinpoint test is intended to diagnose the following:
^ 4WD indicator circuitry
^ 4X4 control module
^ IC
