Test A: The Alarm System Does Not Disarm - From The Driver Door
PINPOINT TEST A: THE ALARM SYSTEM DOES NOT DISARM - FROM THE DRIVER DOORNormal Operation
When the key is turned to the UNLOCK position in the driver door lock cylinder, the door set/reset switch provides a ground signal to the smart junction box (SJB) on circuit CPL28 (VT/BN). With this signal, the SJB will disarm the perimeter alarm, thereby allowing entry without activating the alarm.
- DTC B2100 (Door Driver Key Cylinder Switch Failure) - sets when there is a short to ground in the circuit between the door set/reset switch and the SJB. A shorted switch (shorted to UNLOCK) could also cause this DTC.
This pinpoint test is intended to diagnose the following:
- Wiring, terminals or connectors
- Door set/reset switch (part of the driver door latch)
- SJB
