PICKUP BEDRemoval and Installation
1. Remove the tailgate.
2. Disconnect the taillamp wiring harness electrical connector.
3. Remove the fuel filler cap.
4. NOTE: Mark the position of the fuel filler cap tether for correct installation.
Remove the fuel filler neck screws.
5. NOTE: The pickup bed bolts are not identical and new bolts must be installed in the same location that they were removed from.
Remove the pickup bed bolts. Discard the bolts.
- To install, tighten to 63 Nm (46 lb-ft).
6. NOTE: Lifting the pickup bed requires at least 2 people on each side.
Remove the pickup bed.
7. Inspect the J-nuts for damage. Install new J-nuts if they are damaged.
8. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
