Removal
1. Drain the cooling system.
2. Remove the air cleaner outlet tube.
3. Remove the accessory drive belt.
4. Remove the fan blade and the fan shroud.
5. Remove the bolts and the coolant pump pulley.
6. Disconnect the heater hose.
7. Disconnect the wiring harness retainer.
8. Remove the nut and detach the battery cable bracket.
9. Remove the side stud bolts from the A/C compressor mounting bracket.
10. Disconnect the bypass hose.
11. Remove the bolt and the accessory drive belt tensioner.
12. Remove the front bolts and position the A/C compressor mounting bracket aside.
13. Remove the bolts and the coolant pump.
14. Clean the sealing surfaces.
Installation
1. Position the coolant pump and loosely install the 10 bolts and 2 stud bolts.
^ Tighten bolts 1-7 in the sequence shown to 25 Nm (18 lb-ft).
^ Tighten bolts 8-12 in the sequence shown to 10 Nm (89 lb-inch).
2. Position the A/C compressor mounting bracket and install the front bolts.
^ Tighten to 51 Nm (38 lb-ft).
3. Position the accessory drive belt tensioner and install the bolt.
^ Tighten to 27 Nm (20 lb-ft).
4. Connect the bypass hose.
5. Install the A/C compressor mounting bracket side stud bolts.
^ Tighten to 47 Nm (35 lb-ft).
6. Position the battery cable bracket and install the nut.
^ Tighten to 10 Nm (89 lb-inch).
7. Install the coolant pump pulley.
^ Tighten to 25 Nm (18 lb-ft).
8. Install the accessory drive belt.
9. Attach the wiring harness retainer.
10. Connect the heater hose.
11. Install the fan blade and fan shroud.
12. Install the air cleaner outlet tube.
13. Fill the cooling system.
