Output Shaft Speed (OSS) Sensor:

Removal
1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist.
2. Disconnect the output shaft speed (OSS) sensor electrical connector.
3. Remove the OSS sensor screw.
4. Remove the OSS sensor from the transmission.

Installation

1. NOTE: Inspect the OSS sensor O-ring for damage. If damaged, install a new O-ring Inspect and lubricate the O-ring with petroleum jelly.

Install the OSS sensor into the transmission.

2. Install the OSS sensor screw.
^ Tighten to 10 Nm (89 lb-inch).

3. Connect the OSS sensor electrical connector.
