Test L: One Or More Parking, Rear Or License Plate Lamps Is Inoperative

PINPOINT TEST L: ONE OR MORE PARKING, REAR OR LICENSE PLATE LAMPS IS INOPERATIVE

Normal Operation
The parking lamp relay is integral to, and controlled by, the smart junction box (SJB). The headlamp switch is provided voltage through circuit SBP23 (WH/RD). When the headlamp switch is placed in the PARKING LAMPS ON position, the headlamp switch routes the voltage to the SJB through circuit CLS30 (VT/WH). When the SJB receives the voltage signal from the headlamp switch, the parking lamp relay coil is energized and voltage is routed to the parking lamps through circuit CLS34 (GY). Ground for the LH front, LH side marker, rear parking and license plate lamps is provided through circuit GD121 (BK/YE). Ground for the RH front and RH side marker lamps is provided through circuit GD123 (BK/GY).

This pinpoint test is intended to diagnose the following:
- Fuse
- Wiring, terminals or connectors
- Headlamp switch
