-------------------------------------------------

QE1 CHECK FOR THE PRESENCE OF ANY DTCS OTHER THAN THE INFORMATIONAL DTCS

Note: The PCM DTC P1A0C with no other DTCs present indicates excessive start attempts or stalls with a hot catalyst.

Note: Informational DTCs are P1A10, P1A0C, P1A0D, and P1A0E.

Are any DTCs present other than the following: P0A09, P1A10, P1A0D, or P1A0E?

YES
For DTC P1A0C alone, GO to Pinpoint Test DV DV - Introduction
.

For all others, DTCs other than informational DTCs should be diagnosed in the following order: PCM KOEO, PCM KOER, TCM On Demand, PCM CONT and TCM CONT.

DISREGARD the current diagnostic trouble code (DTC) at this time. DIAGNOSE the next DTC. GO to Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Charts and Descriptions Diagnostic Trouble Code Descriptions.

NO
GO to QE2.

-------------------------------------------------

QE2 CHECK FOR THE PRESENCE OF PCM DTC P0A09

Note: The PCM DTC P0A09 indicates the DC/DC Fault (DCF) circuit is shorted to ground, there is internal DC/DC damage, or the 12 V bus voltage dropped below calibrated threshold.

Is PCM DTC P0A09 present during the self-test?

YES
For KOEO or KOER DTC P0A09, GO to HH16 HH - Test
.

For continuous memory DTC P0A09, GO to HH21 HH - Test.

NO
GO to QE3.

-------------------------------------------------

QE3 CHECK FOR TGAC AND TMAC CIRCUITS SHORTED TO SIGNALS IN THE SAME HARNESS

- PCM connector disconnected.
- Transaxle Assembly-B connector disconnected.
- Measure the resistance between:

Are the resistances greater than 10K ohms?

YES
GO to Symptom Charts, Symptom Charts No Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) Present Symptom Chart Index No Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) Present Symptom Chart Index for further direction. If the symptom is not listed, REFER to the vehicle system or GO to Pinpoint Test Z for intermittent PCM/TCM diagnostics. Z - Intermittent

NO
REPAIR the circuit.

CLEAR the DTCs. REPEAT the self-test.
