Removal and Installation

LH register

1. Remove the steering column opening cover.

2. Remove the 4 steering column opening reinforcement bolts and the steering column reinforcement.

3. Remove the LH outer instrument panel trim panel.

RH register

4. Lower the glove compartment.

LH or RH register

5. Working through the instrument panel opening, depress the 2 clips on the sides of the register barrel and tilt the bottom of the register outward to keep the clips from re-engaging.

6. NOTE: RH register shown, LH register similar.

Using 2 suitable tools, release the clips through the demister nozzle opening and remove the register.





Center registers

7. Remove the center instrument panel finish panel.

8. Working through the opening below the Audio Control Module (ACM), release the 3 register retaining clips and remove the register.

All registers

9. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
