LACK OF COMMUNICATION WITH HVAC MODULE -
DEARBORN TRUCK PLANT (DTP) UNITS BUILT
9/22/2008 THROUGH 11/3/2008

FORD:
2009 F-150

ISSUE
Some 2009 F-150 vehicles built at Dearborn Truck Plant (DTP) 9/22/2008 through 11/3/2008 only, may exhibit a lack of communication with the Heating Ventilation Air Conditioning (HVAC) Module. This condition may affect vehicles with Electronic Manual Temperature Control (EMTC), Dual-Zone Electronic Automatic Temperature Control (EATC), and Dual-Zone EATC with Navigation, and may be caused by the HVAC Module software.

ACTION
Reprogram the HVAC Module to the latest calibration using IDS release 58.7 and higher. This new calibration is not included in the VCM 2008.11 DVD. Calibration and IDS patch files may also be obtained at the website.
