Pinpoint Test I: The Rear Video Mirror Display Is Always On (Vehicles Without Navigation)
Normal Operation
With the ignition switch in the RUN position, the video camera receives voltage through circuit CBP43 (GY). With the gear selector in REVERSE (R) position, a reverse voltage signal is sent to the auto-dimming interior mirror, enabling the system. The video signal from the video camera displays an image on the left portion of the auto-dimming interior mirror display.
This pinpoint test is intended to diagnose the following:
- Wiring, terminals or connectors
- Auto-dimming interior mirror
