Pinpoint Test C: The Power Seat Does Not Move Horizontally/Vertically - Driver, With Manual Recliner

Refer to Wiring Diagrams Set 120, Power Seats for schematic and connector information.

Normal Operation

The driver seat control switch is supplied battery voltage on circuit CBX05 (VT/RD) and is supplied ground on circuit GD904 (BK/BU). When pressed, the seat control switch supplies that voltage and ground to a seat track motor to move the seat in the desired direction. There are 3 seat track motors that combine to move the seat cushion horizontally (forward/rearward) and vertically (front up/down and rear up/down). If a new motor needs to be installed, it is necessary to install an entire seat track assembly.

This pinpoint test is intended to diagnose the following:
- Wiring, terminals or connectors
- Seat control switch
- Seat track motor (seat track)



PINPOINT TEST C: THE POWER SEAT DOES NOT MOVE HORIZONTALLY/VERTICALLY - DRIVER, WITH MANUAL RECLINER

NOTE: The air bag warning indicator illuminates when the correct Restraints Control Module (RCM) fuse is removed and the ignition is ON.

NOTE: The Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) must be fully operational and free of faults before releasing the vehicle to the customer.
