Headliner









Removal and Installation

All vehicles

1. Remove the windshield.

2. Remove the A-pillar trim panels. For additional information refer to A-Pillar Trim Panel A-Pillar Trim Panel.

3. Remove the side curtain air bag-to-A-pillar bracket pin-type retainers.





4. Remove the A-pillar bracket retainer bolts and remove the A-pillar bracket.





5. Remove the front and rear door scuff plates.
- Pull upward to release the clips.

6. Remove the lower B-pillar trim panel.
- Pull outward on the trim panel to release the clips.

7. Remove the safety belt D-ring cover.

8. Remove the safety belt D-ring bolt.
- To install, tighten to 40 Nm (30 lb-ft).

9. Remove the upper B-pillar trim panel bolt and reposition the upper B-pillar trim panel.

10. Remove the upper C-pillar trim panel bolt cover.

11. Remove the upper C-pillar trim panel bolt.

12. Pull outward to release the C-pillar trim panel clips.

13. Reposition the C-pillar trim panel.

14. Remove the D-pillar trim panels. For additional information, refer to D-Pillar Trim Panel D-Pillar Trim Panel.

15. Remove the quarter trim panels. For additional information, refer to D-Pillar Trim Panel D-Pillar Trim Panel.

16. If equipped, remove the DVD entertainment system.

Vehicles equipped with glass roof

17. Remove the rear dome lamp.
- Using a non-marring tool, pry down from the rear of the dome lamp.





18. Disconnect the dome lamp electrical connector.
- Feed the dome lamp electrical connector through the dome lamp housing.





All vehicles

19. Remove the sun visor retainer screws and lower the sun visors.





20. Disconnect the sun visor electrical connector.





21. Remove the sun visor clip retainer screws and remove the sun visor clips.





22. Open the assist handle screw covers.





23. Remove the assist handle screws and remove the assist handles.





Vehicles equipped with non-glass roof

24. Remove the center dome lamp assembly lens.





25. Pull downward on the front of the center dome lamp assembly to release the retainer clips.





26. Disconnect the center dome lamp electrical connector.





27. Feed the dome lamp electrical connector through the dome lamp housing.

Vehicles equipped with glass roof

28. Pull downward on the sunshade frame at the rear of the back window opening panel to release the sunshade frame pin-type retainers.





All vehicles

29. Pull downward to release the rear headliner pin-type retainers.





30. Disconnect the rear wiper washer hose.





31. Disconnect the front headliner electrical connector.





32. Pull downward on the overhead console to release the retainer clips.





33. Disconnect the overhead console electrical connector.





34. Disconnect the mirror electrical connector.





35. Reposition the front and rear door weatherstrips.

36. Remove the headliner out of the windshield opening.

37. NOTICE: To avoid damage to the headliner, remove any retaining clips from the body and attach them to the headliner before installing.

To install, reverse the removal procedure.
