Seat Backrest Heater Mat - Front





Removal and Installation

NOTE: The air bag warning indicator illuminates when the correct Restraints Control Module (RCM) fuse is removed and the ignition switch is ON.

NOTE: The Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) must be fully operational and free of faults before releasing the vehicle to the customer.

NOTE: Always install a new backrest foam pad and new backrest heater mat together.

1. Remove the seat backrest trim cover. For additional information, refer to Seat Backrest Cover - Front, Without Fold Flat Seat Backrest Cover - Front, Without Fold Flat or Seat Backrest Cover - With Fold Flat Seat Backrest Cover - With Fold Flat.

2. NOTE: Seat without fold-flat shown, seat with fold flat similar.

Disconnect the backrest heater mat electrical connector and separate the pin-type retainer.





3. Remove the backrest foam pad from the backrest frame. Discard the backrest foam pad with heater mat.

4. Obtain a new backrest foam pad that has the backrest heater mat already adhered to the backrest foam pad.
- Do not remove the old backrest heater mats from the old backrest foam pad and reuse any of these parts.

5. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
