Removal and Installation

NOTICE: While repairing the power steering system, care should be taken to prevent the entry of foreign material or failure of the power steering components may occur.

1. Remove the transmission fluid cooler. For additional information, refer to Transmission Cooler, A/T.

2. Using a suitable suction device, remove the power steering fluid from the fluid reservoir.

3. Compress the clamp and disconnect the return hose.

4. Compress the clamp and disconnect the power steering cooler-to-reservoir return hose from the cooler.

5. Remove the 2 power steering fluid cooler bolts and the fluid cooler.
- To install, tighten to 11 Nm (97 lb-in).

6. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
