ISSUE
Some 2010 Edge and MKX vehicles may exhibit a lack of A/C cooling.
ACTION
Follow the Service Procedure steps to correct the
condition.
SERVICE PROCEDURE
This procedure is for a loss of refrigerant which may be due to transmission cooler lines rubbing through A/C condenser tubing.
1. Evacuate the A/C system.
2. Remove A/C Condenser. Refer to Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 412-01.
3. Inspect transmission fluid cooler tube retaining clips. Replace if broken or not fully seated. Refer to WSM, Section 307-02. (Figure 1)
4. Install 2010 Edge/MKX A/C Condenser Abrasion Protection Service Kit on new A/C condenser. Follow instructions in the kit.
5. Install new A/C condenser.
6. Refill A/C system.
