All audio systems include the following features:

- Speed sensitive volume
- Accessory delay
- MP3 capability
- Audio input jack

The following options are available:

- Satellite radio
- SYNC system
- Family entertainment system

Antenna

The combination AM/FM antenna is located on the right rear quarter-glass. An antenna isolator module is used to amplify the signals to the ACM. The AM/FM antenna cannot be replaced separately from the quarter glass.

The satellite radio antenna is located at the RH front corner of the roof. If the vehicle is equipped with both satellite radio and the navigation system, a combination satellite radio/GPS antenna is utilized.

AM/FM Antenna Cable

The front AM/FM antenna cable is connected to the ACM and has an in-line connector (located behind the RH kick-panel) to the rear AM/FM antenna cable. The rear AM/FM antenna cable runs along the floorpan and up the C-pillar to the antenna isolator module.

While the front AM/FM antenna cable can be serviced, the rear AM/FM antenna cable is part of the wiring harness and is only serviceable by over-laying a new rear AM/FM antenna cable.

Satellite Radio Antenna Cable

For vehicles without navigation, the satellite radio antenna cable is part of the wiring harness. If it is necessary to install a new satellite radio antenna cable, the new cable should be overlaid on the harness and secured as necessary.

For vehicles with navigation, a splitter cable separates the GPS signal from the satellite radio signal.

Navigation System

The navigation system consists of the following:

- Navigation ACM
- GPS antenna (integral to the satellite radio antenna)
- Satellite radio/GPS splitter cable (located behind the ACM)
- Microphone

The ACM controls the operation of the navigation system and the audio system. The system uses a GPS antenna, a vehicle speed input, and other sensor information to accurately establish the vehicle position.

Rear Seat Controls

For vehicles without the family entertainment system and without a front bench seat, rear seat controls are utilized on the rear of the floor console. The rear seat controls (part of the audio RCU module) include:

- Wired headphones
- Audio ports

Family Entertainment System

The family entertainment system consists of the following:

- RETM
- A/V ports for connecting a gaming system
- 2 wireless headphones
- A wireless remote control

Vehicles with the family entertainment system must also be equipped with satellite radio.

SYNC System

The SYNC system consists of the following:

- APIM
- SYNC-specific steering wheel controls
- Microphone
- USB cable and port
- Audio input jack

SYNC is a hands-free communications and entertainment system that allows the following interactions:

- Send and receive phone calls via a Bluetooth-enabled phone
- Send and receive text messages via a Bluetooth-enabled phone
- Connect media devices (such as an iPod(R) or USB flash device) in order to play audio files
- Play media files via a Bluetooth-enabled audio device
- Producing vehicle health reports
- Initiating an emergency call (eCall) when the air bags deploy

Not all features are available with every phone.

For additional information on audio system operation, including the SYNC system, refer to the Owner's Literature.
