Seat Cushion Heater Mat - Rear

Removal

NOTICE: The heater mat is not designed to be separated from the foam pad. Doing so will damage the foam pad. Install a new foam pad and heater mat. Failure to follow this instruction can result in seat component damage and system failure.

NOTE: For parts identification and location, refer to Seat - Exploded View, Rear, Crew Cab Seat - Exploded View, Rear, Crew Cab.

1. Remove the seat cushion cover. For additional information, refer to Seat Cushion Cover - Rear, Crew Cab Seat Cushion Cover - Rear, Crew Cab.

2. Disconnect the cushion heater mat electrical connector.
- Note the wire harness routing for correct installation.

3. Remove the cushion foam pad with heater mat and discard.

Installation

1. Install the cushion foam pad.

2. NOTICE: Remove the paper strip covering the adhesive before adhering the heater mat to the foam pad. Otherwise, damage to the seat can occur.

NOTE: When adhering the heater mat to the foam pad, be sure to position the heater mat so it is straight and free of any wrinkles that may show through the cover material after installation.

Install the heater mat to the foam pad.

- Align the heater mat square to the seat with the wiring toward the rear edge and tuck the narrow areas into the valley of the foam pad.

- Align the windows of the heater mat over the listing wire in the foam pad to allow for hog ring installation when the cushion cover is installed.

- Firmly apply the heater mat to the foam pad and rub to seal the adhesive.

3. Route the wire harness through the hole in the foam pad and connect the electrical connector.
