2008-2010 Focus

ISSUE
Some 2008-2010 Focus vehicles may exhibit a squeak/creak noise from the underbody when driving on rough roads. The noise may be caused by contact between the park brake cables and the routing eyelets.

ACTION
Follow the Service Procedure steps to correct the condition.

SERVICE PROCEDURE





If the noise is isolated to the park brake cable, install the sleeves over each of the existing park brake cables and inside the routing eyelets. Secure the sleeves with locally obtained tie straps. (Figure 1)
