Removal

1. Remove the clutch disc and pressure plate. For additional information, refer to Clutch, M/T.

2. Using the Flywheel Locking Tool, remove the 6 bolts and the flywheel.





Installation

NOTE: Engine balancing is not required. Balance weights should not be installed on the new flywheel.

NOTE: Special bolts are used for installation. Do not use standard bolts.

1. Inspect the pilot bearing. Install a new pilot bearing as necessary.

2. Position the flywheel.

3. Using the Flywheel Locking Tool, install the 6 bolts in the sequence shown, in 3 stages.
- Stage 1: Tighten to 50 Nm (37 lb-ft).

- Stage 2: Tighten to 80 Nm (59 lb-ft).

- Stage 3: Tighten to 112 Nm (83 lb-ft).





4. Install the clutch disc and the pressure plate. For additional information, refer to Clutch, M/T.
