NOTICE: During engine repair procedures, cleanliness is extremely important. Any foreign material, including any material created while cleaning gasket surfaces, that enters the oil passages, coolant passages or the oil pan may cause engine failure.

NOTE: The bolts for the intake and exhaust Variable Camshaft Timing (VCT) assemblies differ in length. Note the length and location of each bolt for installation.

NOTE: The intake and exhaust VCT bolts must be discarded and new ones installed.

1. Refer to exploded view(s) and any Warnings, Notices, Notes, Materials, Specifications, and Special Tools. Items in the exploded views may not be listed in order of removal.
