Starter Motor - 3.0L









Removal and Installation

1. Disconnect the battery ground cable. For additional information, refer to Battery, Mounting and Cables Battery Disconnect.

2. Remove the starter motor solenoid wire nut.
- To install, tighten to 5 Nm (44 lb-in).

3. Remove the starter motor solenoid battery cable nut and position aside the cables.
- To install, tighten to 12 Nm (106 lb-in).

4. Remove the ground wire nut and position aside the ground wire.
- To install, tighten to 18 Nm (159 lb-in).

5. Remove the 2 stud bolts and the starter motor.
- To install, tighten to 27 Nm (20 lb-ft).

6. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
