Seat Cushion Thermo-Electric Device (TED)

Removal

NOTICE: The passenger seat is equipped with an OCS (Occupant Classification System) bladder system, to prevent system failure, it is necessary to carry out the OCS (Occupant Classification System) reset when a front passenger seat cushion is disassembled, a new cushion cover is installed or an OCS (Occupant Classification System) service kit is installed. A scan tool is used to carry out the OCS (Occupant Classification System) reset.

NOTE: For component identification and locations, REFER to Seat - Exploded View, Front Seat - Exploded View, Front.

1. Remove the seat. For additional information, REFER to Seat Seat.

2. NOTE: Bottom view shows hidden retainers to be released from the top.

From under the seat, separate the cushion TED (Thermo-Electric Device).

1. Disconnect the electrical connector.

2. Disengage the 2 rear retainers, push one cushion support wire inboard while pushing the TED (Thermo-Electric Device) outboard. Repeat for the other retainer.

3. Disengage the front retainers.





3. Rotate and remove the cushion TED (Thermo-Electric Device).





Installation

NOTE: For component identification and locations, REFER to Seat - Exploded View, Front Seat - Exploded View, Front.

1. Position the cushion TED (Thermo-Electric Device) to the seat.

2. Attach the cushion TED (Thermo-Electric Device).

1. Engage the front retainers.

2. Engage the rear retainers.

3. Connect the electrical connector.
