IKT OR IA - INABILITY TO UNLOCK DOOR -
POSSIBLY INTERMITTENT - BUILT BETWEEN
7/1/2010 AND 1/26/2011

LINCOLN:

ISSUE
Some 2011 F-150, F-Super Duty, Edge, Explorer and MKX vehicles built between 7/1/2010 and 1/26/2011, may exhibit an inability to unlock the door(s) using the integrated keyhead transmitter (IKT) or intelligent access (IA) key. This condition may be intermittent.

ACTION
Follow the Service Procedure to correct the condition.

SERVICE PROCEDURE

1. Follow updated Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 501-14 for tire pressure monitor (TPM) diagnostics in the Remote Keyless Entry system.

2. If diagnostic routine leads to replacement of TPM module, follow WSM Section 204-04 for removal and installation of 1PM module.

NOTE
SUSPECT PARTS HAVE BEEN REMOVED FROM SERVICE STOCK. REPLACE WITH EXISTING SERVICE STOCK.
