Crankshaft Position (CKP) Sensor




Crankshaft Position (CKP) Sensor - 5.0L (4V)

Removal

1. Remove the intake manifold.

2. Disconnect the Cylinder Head Temperature (CHT) sensor electrical connector.

3. Remove the stud bolt, the bolt and the RH heat shield from the rear of the RH cylinder head.

4. Disconnect the Crankshaft Position (CKP) sensor electrical connector.

5. NOTE: The Crankshaft Position (CKP) sensor bolt is part of the CKP sensor and cannot be removed.

Loosen the bolt and remove the CKP sensor.

Installation

1. NOTE: The Crankshaft Position (CKP) sensor bolt is part of the CKP sensor and cannot be removed.

Position the CKP sensor and tighten the bolt.

- Tighten to 10 Nm (89 lb-in).

2. Connect the CKP sensor electrical connector.

3. Position the RH heat shield onto the rear of the RH cylinder head and install the stud bolt and the bolt.
- Tighten to 10 Nm (89 lb-in).

4. Connect the CHT sensor electrical connector.

5. Install the intake manifold.
