This vehicle is equipped with a brake shift interlock feature that prevents the selector lever from being moved out of PARK when the ignition is in the ON position, until the brake pedal is applied.
If the selector lever cannot be moved out of the PARK position when the ignition is in the ON position and the brake pedal is applied:
1. Apply the park brake and remove the ignition key.
2. Remove the floor console upper finish panel.
- Starting at the rear of the upper finish panel, carefully pry up the upper finish panel and disconnect the electrical connectors.
3. Apply the brake pedal. Using a suitable tool, press and hold the Brake Shift Interlock Actuator (BSIA) lever while moving the selector lever into (N).
4. Connect and install the floor console upper finish panel.
5. Start the vehicle.
