Seat Track
Removal and Installation
NOTE: For parts identification and location, refer to Seat - Exploded View, Front Seat - Exploded View, Front.
1. Remove the seat backrest. For additional information, refer to Seat Backrest - Front Seat Backrest - Front.
2. Remove the seat cushion cover. For additional information, refer to Seat Cushion Cover - Front Seat Cushion Cover - Front.
3. Remove the 6 pin-type retainers, front inboard, rear inboard and outboard seat track covers.
4. Remove the bolt and safety belt buckle.
- Disconnect the safety belt buckle electrical connector and detach the wire harness.
- To install, tighten to 40 Nm (30 lb-ft).
5. If driver seat, remove the seat position sensor. For additional information, refer to Seat Position Sensor procedure in Supplemental Restraint System Service and Repair.
6. If equipped, remove the Driver Seat Module (DSM).
7. If equipped, remove the Dual Climate Controlled Seat Module (DCSM). For additional information, refer to Dual Climate Controlled Seat Module (DCSM) Dual Climate Controlled Seat Module (DCSM).
8. If equipped, remove the heated seat module. For additional information, refer to Heated Seat Module - Front Heated Seat Module - Front.
9. If equipped, remove the cushion Thermo-Electric Device (TED). For additional information, refer to Seat Cushion Thermo-Electric Device Seat Cushion Thermo-Electric Device.
10. For passenger seat, remove the Occupant Classification System Module (OCSM). For additional information, refer to the Occupant Classification System Module (OCSM) procedure in Supplemental Restraint System Service and Repair.
11. Disconnect any remaining electrical connectors, detach the wire harness retainers and remove the wire harness. For correct passenger seat wire harness routing, refer to Seat Wire Harness Routing Seat Wire Harness Routing.
12. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
- If a new seat track has been installed on a driver seat with memory, operate the seat track in all directions through the full range of travel to allow the DSM to correctly register seat track stop positions and prevent premature stopping points after repair is complete.
13. If a passenger seat was serviced, carry out the Occupant Classification System (OCS) System Reset. For additional information, refer to the General Procedures portion of Supplemental Restraint System Programming and Relearning.
