Transmission Case - Disassembled View









Disassembly

1. Using a suitable tool, remove and discard the output shaft seal.





2. Remove the extension housing bearing snap ring.
- Discard the snap ring.





3. Remove the extension housing bearing.





4. Remove the main case front seal.





5. Remove the 6 Power Take-Off (PTO) bolts and the cover.





6. Using the Slide Hammer and Bearing Cup Remover, remove the countershaft rear bearing cup.
- Discard the bearing cup.





7. Remove the fill and drain plugs.





8. Remove the magnet retainer and magnet.





Assembly

1. Install the magnet and magnet retainer.





2. Install the fill and drain plugs.
- Tighten to 20 Nm (177 lb-in).





3. NOTE: Install new bearings and cups in sets only. Do not install one without the other.

Using a suitable tool, install the new countershaft rear bearing cup.





4. Install the PTO seal cover and the 6 PTO cover bolts.
- Tighten to 16 Nm (142 lb-in).





5. Install the main case front seal.





6. Install the extension housing bearing.





7. Install the new extension housing bearing snap ring.





8. Using a suitable tool, install a new output shaft seal.
