Pinpoint Test L: The Turn Signal Function Is Inoperative

Refer to Wiring Diagram Set 90, Turn Signal/Stop/Hazard Lamps for schematic and connector information. Diagrams By Number

Normal Operation

The Steering Column Control Module (SCCM) monitors multifunction switch input. The SCCM sends a message over the High Speed Controller Area Network (HS-CAN) to the Body Control Module (BCM) indicating that the multifunction switch is in the OFF, LH or RH TURN position. When the BCM receives a message for a LH or RH turn position, the BCM provides on/off voltage to the appropriate turn lamps.

- DTC B1D36:09 (Turn Indicator Switch: Component Failure) - a DTC that sets when the BCM detects an input concern from the multifunction switch.

This pinpoint test is intended to diagnose the following:

- Multifunction switch
- SCCM
