Front Seats

Driver and Passenger Front Seats

The driver and passenger front seats can be equipped with:

- manual or power recliner
- manual or power lumbar
- manual or 6-way power seat track
- climate controlled seat (heated/cooled)
- driver seat memory function
- seat side air bag

Driver Seat With Memory

When the vehicle is equipped with the programmable/recall memory option, the driver power seat is controlled by the Driver Seat Module (DSM). The DSM is located on the driver seat track.

This system allows automatic positioning of the driver seat to 2 programmable positions. For information on programming memory positions or recalling a stored memory position, refer to Memory Position Programming Programming and Relearning.

Easy Entry/Exit

The easy entry/exit feature is a function of the DSM. The memory driver seat easy entry/exit feature moves the seat slightly rearward for easier exit from the vehicle and returns the seat forward after entry. The easy entry/exit feature can be enabled/disabled using the selections on the message center. Refer to the Owner's Literature or Instrumentation, Message Center, and Warning Chimes Information And Message Center for information on the message center.

Climate Controlled Seats

The climate controlled seat system is able to heat and cool the driver and front passenger seats. Each climate controlled seat is operated by push-buttons on the HVAC module located on the instrument panel. Each front seat temperature is monitored and controlled by the Dual Climate Controlled Seat Module (DCSM) located on the passenger front seat track.

The climate controlled seat system contains the following serviceable components:

- Air filter attached to each Thermo-Electric Device (TED) and blower assembly (for cushion TED filter, turn to the left to remove. The backrest TED filter is not serviceable but can be removed.) For additional information, refer to the Owner's Literature.
- Cushion and backrest foam pads
- Cushion and backrest manifolds
- DCSM attached to the passenger seat track
- HVAC module located in the instrument panel (contains the climate controlled seat switches and is also the electrical interface to the DCSM)
- TED and blower assembly within each front driver and passenger seat cushion and backrest

Remote Start Climate Operation (if equipped)

When the vehicle is started using the remote start feature, the driver/passenger climate controlled seat activates in full heat mode when the outside temperature is less than 0° C (32° F) and full cool mode when outside temperature is greater than 27° C (80° F). No climate control adjustments are recognized during remote start operation. Once the ignition is cycled to the ON position, the climate control system returns to the previous settings (last ignition-ON cycle) and adjustments can be made normally. If the previous setting was off, the climate control turns off. For additional information about remote start operation, refer to Starting System Description and Operation or the Owner's Literature.

Seat Side Air Bag

WARNING: Front seat backrest trim covers installed on seats equipped with seat side air bags cannot be repaired. A new trim cover must be installed. Cleaning is permissible. Failure to follow these instructions may result in the seat side air bag module deploying incorrectly and increase the risk of serious personal injury or death in a crash.

NOTE: If a side air bag deployment took place, a new seat back pad, trim cover and side air bag module and nuts must be installed. A new seat back frame should be installed if necessary.

The driver and front passenger seat side air bags are attached to the seat backrest frame. 20 Percent Center Seat

The 20 percent seat:

- has a backrest that folds down into an armrest.
- has a storage bin and 2 cup holders built into the backrest.
- has an optional under-seat storage bin.

Rear Seats

The Crew Cab 60/40 split cushion and backrest bench seat is equipped with:

- fold-up cushion
- under-seat storage (if equipped)
- fold-down backrest
- fold-down armrest (if equipped)

The SuperCab 60/40 split cushion bench seat is equipped with a fold up cushion.
