Driver Seat Module (DSM)

Removal and Installation

NOTE: Prior to installation of a new Driver Seat Module (DSM), upload the module configuration information to the appropriate scan tool. This information must be downloaded into the new DSM after installation. For additional information, refer to Module Configuration [1][2]Initial Inspection and Diagnostic Overview.

NOTE: For component identification and locations, refer to Seat Cushion - Front, Bucket Seat Bucket Seat.

1. When installing a new DSM, carry out the appropriate steps in Programmable Module Installation (PMI). For additional information, refer to Module Configuration Programmable Module Installation (PMI).

2. From under the front of the driver seat, remove the 2 DSM screws, disconnect the electrical connectors and remove the DSM.

3. To install, reverse the removal procedure.

4. If a new DSM has been installed, carry out the appropriate steps in PMI. For additional information, refer to Module Configuration Programmable Module Installation (PMI).
