Gearshift Lever and Boot





Removal

1. Remove the upper gear shift lever boot.

1. Pull up the rear of the upper gear shift lever boot.

2. Slide the upper gear shift lever boot back, to unseat it from the front tabs.





2. Slide the upper gear shift lever boot up the upper gear shift lever to access the 2 bolts.
- Remove the 2 bolts and remove the upper gear shift lever.





3. Remove the 4 screws and the lower gear shift lever boot.





4. Remove the 4 bolts and the lower gear shift lever.





Installation

1. NOTE: When installing, a slight wiggle may be necessary to seat the lower gear shift lever between the detents.

NOTE: Apply threadlock to the threads of the bolts.

Install the lower gear shift lever and the 4 bolts.

- Tighten to 11 Nm (97 lb-in).





2. Install the lower gear shift lever boot and 4 screws.





3. NOTE: Apply threadlock to the threads of the bolts.

Slide the upper gear shift lever boot up the upper gear shift lever. Install the upper gear shift lever and the 2 bolts.

- Tighten to 28 Nm (21 lb-ft).





4. Install the upper gear shift lever boot.

1. Slide the upper gear shift lever boot forward to clip the front tabs.

2. Push down the rear of the upper gear shift lever boot to attach the clips.
