EGR Temperature Sensor: Service and Repair

Exhaust Gas Recirculation Temperature (EGRT) Sensor













Removal and Installation

1. Remove the Air Cleaner (ACL) outlet pipe . For additional information, refer to the Intake Air System Components - Exploded View, 6.7L Diesel in Intake Air Distribution and Filtering Diagrams.

2. Detach and disconnect the Exhaust Gas Recirculation Temperature (EGRT) sensor electrical connector.

3. NOTE: If necessary, lubricate the sensor threads with penetrating and lock lubricant to assist in removal.

Remove the EGRT sensor.

- To install, tighten to 44 Nm (32 lb-ft).

4. NOTE: Apply a light coat of anti-seize lubricant to the threads of the EGRT sensor.

To install, reverse the removal procedure.
