Side Impact Reinforcement

Side Protection and Cabin Enhancement (SPACE(R)) Tube









1. Remove the front seats and center console assembly. For additional information, refer to Instrument Panel and Console Floor Console.

2. Remove the lower B-pillar trim panel. For additional information, refer to Interior Trim and Ornamentation B-Pillar Trim Panel.

3. Remove the 6 Side Protection and Cabin Enhancement (SPACE(R)) tube-to-floor bolts and remove the SPACE(R) tube assembly.

Installation

1. Position the SPACE(R) tube and install the bolts.
- Tighten to 48 Nm (35 lb-ft).

2. Install the lower B-pillar trim panel. For additional information, refer to Interior Trim and Ornamentation B-Pillar Trim Panel.

3. Install the front seats and center console assembly. For additional information, refer to Instrument Panel and Console Floor Console.
