Removal and Installation

NOTE: 3.7L shown, 5.0L (4V) and 5.4L (4V) similar.

3.7L or 5.4L (4V) vehicles

1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, refer to Jacking and Lifting Service and Repair.

2. Remove the lower radiator splash shield.

All vehicles

3. NOTE: For 5.0L vehicles, the ambient temperature sensor can be accessed through the airflow opening in the front bumper cover.

Detach the ambient temperature sensor electrical connector pin-type retainer.

4. Disconnect the ambient temperature sensor electrical connector and remove the ambient temperature sensor.

5. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
