Bumper - Rear, Beam

Removal and Installation

All bumpers

1. NOTE: This procedure may require an assistant.

Remove the 4 rear bumper beam-to-inner bumper bracket nuts.

- To install, tighten to 115 Nm (85 lb-ft).

2. Remove the 2 retainer and bolt assemblies from the rear bumper beam-to-inner bumper brackets.

Painted bumpers only

3. Remove the 2 bolts and nuts from the rear bumper beam-to-outer bumper bracket.
- To install, tighten to 40 Nm (30 lb-ft).

All bumpers

4. Remove the rear bumper beam.
- Disconnect the electrical connectors.

5. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
