Accelerator Cable - 4.0L

Removal and Installation









1. Remove the 3 bolts and remove the accelerator control splash shield.
- To install, tighten to 3 Nm (27 lb-in).

2. Disconnect the accelerator cable from the throttle lever.





3. Depress the tabs and remove the accelerator cable from the accelerator cable bracket.





4. Disconnect the accelerator cable from the accelerator pedal.





5. Depress the clips and remove the accelerator cable from the vehicle.





6. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
