Transmission Fluid Cooler Tubes




Transmission Fluid Cooler Tubes - 4.0L













Removal

1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, refer to Jacking and Lifting Service and Repair.

2. Disconnect the transmission fluid cooler lower inlet and outlet tubes from the radiator.

3. Disconnect the auxiliary transmission fluid cooler hoses from the auxiliary transmission fluid cooler. Disconnect the inlet and lower inlet tubes, and remove the lower inlet tube.

4. Disconnect the transmission fluid cooler inlet and outlet tubes from the transmission.

5. Remove the transmission fluid cooler tube bracket and the transmission fluid cooler inlet and outlet tubes from the engine.

Installation

1. Install the transmission fluid cooler inlet and outlet tubes, the bracket and the screw onto the engine.
- Tighten to 20 Nm (177 lb-in).

2. Connect the transmission fluid cooler inlet and outlet tubes to the transmission.
- Tighten the transmission fluid cooler tube fittings to 28 Nm (21 lb-ft).

3. Connect the auxiliary transmission fluid cooler hoses and clamps to the transmission fluid cooler inlet and lower inlet tubes.

4. Connect the transmission fluid cooler lower inlet and outlet tubes to the radiator.
- Tighten the transmission fluid cooler tube fittings to 28 Nm (21 lb-ft).

5. Fill the transmission with transmission fluid to the correct level and check for correct transmission operation.
