Valve Seals









Removal

1. Remove the valve spring for the valve stem being serviced. For additional information, refer to Valve Springs Removal and Replacement.

2. Remove and discard the valve stem seals.





Installation

1. NOTE: Lubricate the valve seals with clean engine oil prior to installation.

Using the Valve Spring Compressor and Valve Stem Oil Seal Installer, install the new valve stem seal.






2. Install the valve spring. For additional information, refer to Valve Springs Removal and Replacement.
