Removal and Installation

1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist.

2. If equipped, remove the pushpin retainers and the splash shield.





3. Remove the 6 screws and the lower air deflector.





4. Remove the transmission fluid cooler tubes from the bracket.





5. Remove the transmission fluid cooler hoses from the radiator in-tank transmission fluid cooler and the pushpin retainers.





6. Remove the transmission fluid cooler hoses from the auxiliary transmission fluid cooler and the pushpin retainers.





7. Remove the transmission fluid cooler tube fittings from the transmission.
- To install, tighten to 27 Nm (20 lb-ft).






8. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
- Fill the transmission with transmission fluid. For additional information, refer to Transmission Fluid Drain and Refill in Automatic Transmission/Transaxle &/or Transmission Control Systems.

- Check for leaks.
