Quarter Trim Panel - LH
Removal and Installation
1. Remove the rear seats to access the quarter trim panels.
2. Remove the body side trim finish panel.
1. Remove the 3 pin-type retainers.
2. Remove the finish panel from the body side.
3. If equipped, disconnect the powerpoint electrical connector.
4. Remove the rear seat belt shoulder strap opening covers.
- Pry the seat belt shoulder strap covers from the upper trim panels.
5. Pull the rear door weatherstrip off at the rear door opening to access the trim panel pin-type retainers.
6. Remove the rear upper quarter trim panel (extended wagon shown).
1. Remove the screw.
2. Remove the 3 pin-type retainers.
3. Remove the rear upper quarter trim panel.
7. Remove the rear lower quarter trim panel (extended wagon shown).
1. Remove the 5 screws.
- For the regular wagon, remove the 3 trim panel screws.
2. Remove the 3 pin-type retainers.
3. Lift the panel slightly and remove the trim panel from the body side.
8. Remove the window latches, if equipped.
1. Remove the 2 window latch screws (1 shown).
2. Remove the window latch.
9. Position the driver seat to the full forward position.
10. Remove the front seat belt guide cover.
11. Remove the front safety belt guide.
1. Remove the nut.
- To install, tighten to 48 Nm (35 lb-ft).
2. Remove the front safety belt guide.
12. Remove the front upper quarter trim panel.
1. Remove the 6 screws.
2. Remove the front upper trim panel from the body side.
13. Remove the front lower quarter trim panel.
1. Remove the screw.
2. Remove the 2 pin-type retainers.
3. Lift the front upper trim panel slightly upward and remove from the body side.
14. NOTE: To install the front upper quarter trim panel, start at the lower pillar, then work to the second lower pillar.
NOTE: To install the rear lower quarter trim panel, start with the clip to the heater housing, then snap the trim panel into the panel clips.
NOTE: To install the rear upper quarter trim panel, start with the rear lower portion of the panel at the pillar.
To install, reverse the removal procedure.
